Jatiya Party lawmaker Moshiur Rahman Ranga has been made the opposition chief whip in the 11th Jatiya Sangsad.
“Party Chairman HM Ershad sent a letter to the parliament Speaker urging to make party’s lawmaker Moshiur Rahman Ranga as the opposition chief whip,”
deputy press secretary of JP chairman Khandaker Delwar Hossain told BSS on Saturday.
In his letter, Ershad said, “Jatiya Party will act as the main opposition
in the eleventh parliament . . . As the chairman of the parliamentary party,
I’m the opposition leader of the House.”
The letter added: “Party’s co-chairman GM Quader will be the opposition’s
deputy leader and JP Secretary General Moshiur Rahman Ranga will perform as
the opposition chief whip in the parliament.”-BSS
