Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP, said on Friday that BNP is trying to make up conspiracy theories to cover its utter failure at the national polls.
“Its rejection is part of a greater conspiracy of subversion, “he said.
The minister was addressing journalists and party workers at Col. Taher auditorium at Bangbandhu Avenue.
He said BNP was waiting for some “invisible force” to intervene on its behalf and therefore did not concentrate on electioneering, now they are blaming the electoral system.
The minister also said refuting electoral results when they are unfavorable is a bad old habit of BNP; they had done the same after they lost the general election of 2008 which was held under a caretaker government.
The meeting was also addressed, among others, by general secretary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Shirin Akhter, MP and other party leaders.-BSS
