Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina goes to Sylhet Saturday in the second leg of her election tour.
The Awami League (AL) chief will address an election rally of her party at Sylhet Government Alia Madrasa Ground at 2:30 pm, Prime Minister’s Office sources said.
Upon her arrival in the holy city in the morning, the prime minister will offer ziarah at the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA), Hazrat Shah Paran (RA) and Hazrat Gazi Borhanuddin (RA).
The Awami League president kicked off her election campaign from Gopalganj on December 12 by placing wreaths at the shrine of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara.
In the third leg of her election tour, the prime minister will visit Rangpur on December 23.
She will address two separate polls rallies at Taraganj and Pirganj in Rangpur, the sources said.-BSS
