Jatiya Party (JAPA) President HM Ershad on Monday appointed party’s presidium member Mashiur Rahman Ranga as the JAPA’s secretary general.
“You (Ranga) have been given the charge of Jatiya Party’s secretary general. This decision has been taken as per the article 20/1/ka of the Jatiya Party’s constitution,” Ershad said in a letter to Ranga, according a copy provided to BSS.
The surprise decision came a day after the Election Commission scrapped the nomination paper of party’s secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawladar for being a loan defaulter.
