It was an all-round performance came from Sylhet Sixers saw them to record an exciting five runs victory over Chittagong Vikings in Bangladesh Premier League T20 held at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur today.

Chasing a winning target of 169 runs set by Sylhet, Chittagong Vikings found the chase stiff and eventually they were restricted at 163 for 7 in 20 overs.
With this victory, Sylhet Sixers opened their account with two points from two matches while Chittagong Vikings remained at their previous credit of two points playing the same number of outings.
Chittagong lost their opener Mohammad Shazad early, but another opener Cameron Delport (38) and Mohammad Ashraful (22) added 47-run for the second wicket stand taking Vikings to a comfortable position.
However, Sylhet Sixers fought back in the match picking up some quick
wickets in the middle.
Zimbabwean batsman Sikandar Raza was sent back to the dressing room in a crucial stage while cameo Robbie Frylinck offered some resistance at the end, but failed to accelerate the asking run rate in the face of some tight bowling spells by the Sixers bowlers.
Raza cracked 28-ball off 37 runs laced with two boundaries and two over boundaries while Robbie Frylinck remained unbeaten on 24-ball off 44 runs with one boundary and four over boundaries.
Sylhet Sixers pacer Taskin Ahmed was the most successful bowler as he finished his spells with an impressive figure of 4 for 28 in 4 overs. He was well supported by Alok Kapali who bagged 2 wickets for 6 runs.
Nicholas Pooran of Sylhet Sixers was named the player of the match for his magnificent batting performance.
Earlier, West Indies recruit Nicholas Pooran and skipper David Warner scored a blistering half centuries steered Sylhet Sixers to post a challenging total of 168 for 5 from 20 overs after Sylhet Sixers won the toss and opted to bat first.
Sylhet Sixers plunged into a deep trouble as they lost three quick wickets early at six runs in the scoreboard.
Skipper David Warner led from the front taking the responsibility to stop the rot as he blazed 47 runs off 59 balls with two boundaries and one over boundary.
He was also involved in two important partnerships during the process – first 71-run with Afif Hossain and the second 70-run with Nicholas Pooran to take the team to a comfortable position.
Afif blasted 28-ball off 45 runs hitting five boundaries and three over boundaries while Pooran hammered an unbeaten 32-ball off 52-run with the help of three boundaries and equal number of over boundaries.
South African medium pacer Robbie Frylinck was the pick of Chittagong Vikings bowler taking three wickets for 26 runs.-BSS
