Jatiya Oikyafront leader and Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Thursday said the Election Commission (EC) will have to enable the people of the country to exercise their rights of franchise in a peaceful environment in the 11th parliamentary election slated for December 30.
He came up with the remark while addressing a press conference at Jatiya Oikyafront office in city’s Purana Paltan area after conducting a day-long election campaign.
Urging all to cast their votes, Dr Kamal said, “All of you should go to voting centers on December 30 and cast your votes to your chosen candidates.”
He said the people of Bangladesh consider election a festival. So, the countrymen have prepared themselves to take part in the voting festival, he added.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Krishak Sramik Janat League President Kader Siddique, Gana Shasthya Kendra Trusty Zafrullah Chowdhury, Gano Forum Executive President Subrata Chowdhury, Presidium Member Jaglul Haider Affrik and Nagarik Oikya Presidium Member Shahidullha Kaiser, among others, were present at the press conference.-BSS
