Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif on Sunday claimed that the violence in the country centering the forthcoming polls is the result of conspiracy by BNP acting chairman Tareque Rahman from London.
“Tareq Rahman is hatching conspiracy to foil the election from London through secret murders and sabotage activities throughout the country… As a result, two Jubo League leaders lost their lives on the 1st day of symbol allocation,” he said.
Hanif told journalists this morning, after paying tribute to the martyrs at the Kushtia collectorate premises on the occasion of the great Victory Day.
He described Awami League as a political party of mass people. BNP destroyed the country when they were in power, he said, adding that the party is designing to rig in the election, he added.
District Awami League President Sadar Uddin Khan, Joint General Secretary Engineer Farooq-uz Zaman, organizing secretary Mehedi Hasan and AL leaders were present on the occasion.-BSS
