Food Minister Md Qamrul Islam on Monday said all political parties and the countrymen were united on the Rohingya issue excepting Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
"All political parties and people of the country are supporting the measures taken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Rohingya issue barring one political party (BNP). So there is no need to hold any political dialogue on the issue," the minister told a discussion at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.
Bangladesh Swadhinata Parishad (BSP) organized the discussion with its advisor Hasibur Rahman Manik in the chair.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque addressed the discussion, among others.
Qamrul said those, who are talking about holding dialogue on Rohingya issue, are trying to create confusion over the issue.
All nations of the world and the United Nation (UN) are supporting the premier as she opted for humanity, he added.
Speaking at the discussion, Mozammel Haque said, "We have to be united against those who are criticizing the government and trying to do politics over Rohingya issue".-BSS
