Two suspected robbers were killed in a reported gunfight with police in Shariatpur sadar upazila early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Jahangir Khokon, 40, son of Sikandar Akon and Rasel Hawlader, 32, son of late Arshad Ali Hawladar.
The gunfight took place at Daobhog village in sadar upazila around 2:30am.
Detective Branch (DB) police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sohag, constables Russel and Masum Sheikh sustained injuries in the gunfight.
Office of Shariatpur Superintendent of Police (SP) confirmed the matter.
