A bank official was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in Chattogram city’s Dewanhat flyover on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Anwarul Azim, 55, manager of Islami Bank of city’s Khatunganj Branch.
Alauddin Talukdar, Sub-inspector of Chattogram Medical College Hospital police outpost, said the accident took place in the area at about 9am when a bus hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw from behind, leaving its two passengers and driver injured.
Locals brought them to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where physicians declared Anwarul Azim dead.
The two others injured banker Shahidul Islam, 48, and CNG driver Jahir Uddin, 40, were admitted to the burn unit of the hospital.
