The maritime ports were advised by the met office today to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as a deep convection is taking place
over north Bay.

The Met office said the cyclonic storm ‘Titli’ over Odisha and adjoining coastal areas moved slightly northeastwards and weakened into a deep depression over the same area of India .

It is likely to move northeastwards further inland and weaken gradually.

Squally weather is likely to affect the maritime ports, north Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

The met office advised maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla to keep hoist local cautionary signal number three, in a scale of 10.

“All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice,” the bulletin said.-BSS
