The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Tuesday has allowed the executive magistrates to run the mobile courts until disposal of the leave to appeal that challenged an HC order.
A five-member bench of Appellate Division led by its acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahhab Miah fixed January 16 for next hearing as the state sought time.
On May 11, the HC declared illegal of the operation of mobile court by the executive magistrate and later on May 14 after hearing on a government appeal the chamber judge stayed until May 18, reports UNB.
Later, the SC extended the time for several times.
