Hearing in Khaleda’s graft cases adjourned till February 26

A Dhaka court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of Ziia Orphanage Trust and Zia Charitable Trust graft case against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia till February 26.
Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar of Dhaka Special Judge’s Court-3 fixed the date today in response to a time petition filed by Khaleda’s lawyers.
The ACC filed the case on August 8, 2010, against five including Khaleda Zia and her son Tarique Rahman on charge of embezzlement of Taka 3.15 crore from Zia Charitable Trust. The court on March 19, 2016, framed charges against the accused in the case.
On July 3, 2008, the ACC filed Zia Orphanage Trust graft case against Khaleda and five others for embezzling Taka 2.10 crore brought from abroad and meant to be spent for the orphans
