A two-day job fair- 2017 began at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) for the third consecutive time here on Friday.
RUET Carrier Forum (RCF) organized the fair in association with Bizli Cables and Good Luck Stationary. 14 corporate organizations including some famous ones are taking part in the event offering spot job after taking curriculum vitae from students and interviewing them on the spot.
RUET Vice-chancellor Prof Rafiqul Alam Beg attended and addressed the inauguration ceremony as the chief guest with RCF President Fazley Hossain in the chair.
CV assessment, campus recruitment, HR Summit, Corporate Talk and Idea Contest will be held in this fair.
Prof Rafique Beg urged the job-giving companies to come forward towards appointing the skilled RUET graduates.
He also said more expansion and promotion of technical and vocational education and training among the youths both male and female is critically important for transforming them into skilled human resources.
Expanded technical education could be effective means of building competent and skilled human resources and its role is very vital for substantial and sustainable growth of national economy.
Role of skilled people is also very important for earning more foreign remittance which is significant for country's development.-BSS
