Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina has yet again proven that she does not take any wrong decision. After allegations of corruption regarding the funding of the much-hyped Padma Bridge project had surfaced, the World Bank lost to her challenges.
This time around, the UNSESCO bowed down to her. The organisation clearly mentioned that the 1300 MW Rampal power plant project will not harm the Sundarbans. UNESCO's World Heritage Committee took the decision in its 41st session at Poland’s Krakow city of late.
This announcement implies that the economic development and environmental conservation are only possible by the premier.
What will environmentalists say now? I know you folks will find it tough to accept the development after repeated manipulation and propaganda against the project. Then again, it is a must to admit the truth.
The victory of truth is a must. And, Sheikh Hasina sticks to the way of truth.
