A two-day international history conference began today on Dhaka University campus with the participation of historians, researchers and students of different universities from home and abroad.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor addressed as the chief guest the inaugural ceremony organized by Bangladesh Itihas Parishad.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the programme at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) on the campus while University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan attended it as guest of honor.
Bangla Academy Director General Professor Shamsuzzaman Khan presented the keynote paper on "Bangla Language, Bangalee Nation and Bangladesh"
Itihas Parishad President Professor Sufia Ahmed chaired the function.-BSS
